Family Physician
Dr. Maria A. Mejia originally graduated with her medical degree from “Universidad de Oriente” in Venezuela, and completed her specialty training in Family Medicine at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. Her interests include primary care for the entire family with an emphasis on preventive care and women’s health. Dr. Maria Mejia is excited to have the opportunity to provide high-quality health care to the families of this community and will use her bilingual skills to assist patients struggling to express their medical concerns if English is their second language. She loves cultural diversity, and is very proud of her Latin culture.

Women’s Health
Our clinic specializes in advancing healthcare meant for women of all ages. We provide professional medical intervention for the reproductive health needs of our female patients. This includes IUD removal, as well as consultation on different contraceptive methods. Our team also provides professional medical services to women in their menopausal stage. We manage conditions such as osteoporosis and other conditions associated with menopausal stage.
Complete Physicals
Family Medicine MMC offers different diagnostic procedures in our clinic such as cancer screening, EKG, and blood tests. This allows our team of medical professionals to accurately diagnosis each patient’s condition. Plus, it gives us the chance to know the best plan of action for their treatment modalities.
Chronic Illness
Family Medicine MMC offers programs that can properly diagnose, manage, and point the cause of different chronic conditions. Our goal is to promote a better quality of life to our patients using a variety of treatment modalities including medications, therapy, and patient education.
Minor Procedures
Family Medicine MMC conducts minor procedures in our clinic. We provide minor surgical operations such as cosmetic procedures including removal of warts, moles, and cyst. We also specialize in treating abscesses and removal of ingrown toenails.
